Theodore Akimenko left quite a large number of works unpublished by the time he died in 1945. This was partly due to the war during which his publishers were prevented from publishing his work and then after the war because their priorities had changed. These Three Pieces for violin and piano are undated and the manuscript of them has been in the French National Library for around 80 years. This is their first publication.
