Korngold's most popular opera Die Tote Stadt contains a number of aria and duets that are gems in their right. Marietta's Lute song, Glück, das mir verblieb, stands out in this respect. This new arrangement mostly uses Korngold's own piano reduction while the vocal line has been adapted to suit the violin.
