Rosy Wertheim wrote her only Violin Sonata in 1930 while she was living in Paris.  A Dutch lady by birth.she was adventurous and dynamic and organised musical societies for some of the leading composers of the day and managed to get her own works played as far a field as the US, Australia and around Europe.  This Violin Sonata shows Wertheim's command of a lyrical neoclassism she made her own and offers in intriguing look into other aspects of French and Dutch musical society.
